Each year FJHRA has been holding a small scale auction at the annual AGM/Lunch to raise funds for the next season.
A few generous members have donated various prizes in the past, and last year, we previewed the auction on the website in advance, which attracted quite a lot of interest, so we are doing the same this year.
If you find something in your garage / attic you would like to enter into the auction, then please send us a photo / description and guide price, and we will add it to the lots.
If you are unable to attend in person, but are interested in bidding, then you are invited to leave an absentee bid with us before the Friday 13th November. This will of course be confidential, and the auctioneer can then factor it into the proceedings.
Our Lots to date are;
1. Ring bound book (26 cm x 18.5 cm) published by Shell-Mex in 1956 and contain 68 cartoons drawn by SALLON then of the Daily Mirror. It is not that it contains cartoons of the then greats, such as Hawthorn and Collins, it is that contains so many cartoons of the great characters associated with British motor sport.
Guide Price: £50

5. Helphos s pot lamp c.1964
It fixes to the inside of the windscreen via a rubber suction ring and swivels in all directions. It is complete, fully working, entirely undamaged and the mirror is perfect but the outer casing could benefit from very minor cosmetic TLC. These were a prettyexpensive accessory at the time and are very rare to find these days, especially in this condition. An ideal complement to any quality performance road/rally car of a certain age, looking to carry off that coveted originality award!
