FJHRA AUCTION 2010

Each year FJHRA has been holding a small scale auction at the annual AGM/Lunch to raise funds for the next season.

A few generous members have donated various prizes in the past, and below you will find the lots kindly donated so far.

If you find something in your garage / attic you would like to enter into the auction, then please send us a photo / description and guide price, and we will add it to the lots.

If you are unable to attend in person, but are interested in bidding, then you are invited to leave an absentee bid with us before the Friday 25th November. This will of course be confidential, and the auctioneer can then factor it into the proceedings.

"On the eve of tragedy and triumph.
The 'sharknose' Ferrari 156s are tended before the 1961 Italian GP.
Phil Hill was (unusually) not on pole, which fell instead to team-mate and World Championship rival Wolfgang von Trips - while the team's newest recuit, Ricardo Rodriguez, was a sensational second.
Come the race, though, von Trips would collide with Jim Clark's Lotus killing himself and 11 spectators in the subsequent accident. Thus, Hill ran an easy race - and title-winner, but this deeply sensitive man was devastated by the human loss. "
