Race 1

Race 2

"Hans Jorgen was on pole, after the warm-up lap he burst into flames on the start line, all well but a scary moment or three! "

On Sunday;
"Hi from a damp Pukekohe. Mind you it is a huge improvement over yesterday's tropical storm, with lightening striking one of the trees where the campervans park! The thunderclap was like a cannon in your ear. Racing was abandoned as so much of the track was under water. They told us that they would start Sunday from where we left off Saturday, and we Juniors would go out after 10am. Lie in, we all thought! Alas a change of mind this morning meant that we were first on again, and many of our lot not there. Panic when we couldn't find Robin and Sue Longdon's phone number! Then when we found the number discovered the phone was swtched off.......they arrived in time as did George and Carole Cooper, thank goodness."
Hans managed to get his car all fixed yesterday, with help from Nigel and others

Race 3

Race 4

"Well the last race was not without drama too, very exciting, but with one wheel coming off (Hans-Jorgen, offending article - only 5 months old) having started from pole and another fire (not sure whose), safety car, spin-offs. John and Robin set blistering times and Peter Strauss his best fot the week-end coming third. John led most of the way, then Robin, then John again, with a nail biting finish as he was pipped by Robin on the line by 300ths of a second! Robin won the Junior prize for the best performance over both week-ends. The others packed up for Taupo and we were kindly hosted by the Lyons in their container.
