Dear FJHRA,
Everyone in Formula Junior will be deeply saddened that early this morning, David lost his six month battle with Cancer. We all send our deepest sympathies to Vivienne and to their daughters Amy and Susie.
Always jolly, David had raced Jaguars, and then bought a pair of Elva 100’s, eventually settling on the dark green (100/27) one, which he first raced at Pau in 2003.
He raced actively in the 2004 – 2007 seasons, taking part in his last race at Donington Park in Sept 07, before he sold it to Justin Fleming at the end of the season – but within weeks, he missed Formula Junior and bought the last of the late David Wragg’s Elva 100’s (and David’s Allard) from the Wragg family and set about a restoration to rejoin the FJ grids – sadly it was not to be.
David was not well enough to come to Monaco this year, but Amy came in her Dad’s stead and joined the FJ festivities on Ned’s boat – indeed Ned has kept his race cars in England at David’s ‘Race Car Livery’, David’s business in storing and caring for precious racers at Scaldwell Manor.
We will let you know more details of the funeral date very soon, but in the meantime, anyone who would like to write to Vivienne can do so at;
